More than 20 years ago, on a whim, I loaded some black & white film into my camera. I didn’t know it at the time that it would set me on a journey of discovery. When I received the prints from the lab, I sensed a strong pull to experiment with this media. Shortly thereafter, I was assembling the necessary components to set up a darkroom.
Even though I’m not in the darkroom as often as the past, I still see analog photography an compelling ascetic choice for my work.
Digital imagery has opened up additional creative options, which are interesting to explore.
